Tech Week is hosted by the Bahrain Economic Development Board as one of the most jam-packed weeks full of innovation, tech, and more! It will be held from September 15th to the 22nd, 2019. Here’s a breakdown of some of the most important events that are happening during Tech Week 2019:
AWS Summit
- When: September 15, 2019, 9 AM – 5 PM
- Where: Gulf Hotel Bahrain
With the recent launch of AWS in Bahrain, the AWS Summit will provide an insider view on the latest cloud technology, and more. AWS brings together technologists to connect, collaborate, and learn more about AWS. You can connect with colleagues, like-minded people, and interact with other startup founders. The keynote speaker will be Teresa Carlson, the founder, and leader of AWS Worldwide Public Sector.

AWS Startup Day
- When: September 16, 2019, 8 AM – 5 PM
- Where: Gulf Hotel Bahrain
While we recommend you attend all the events happening during TechWeek, AWS Startup Day is one you definitely don’t want to miss. Startup day is designed for entrepreneurs who are ready to take an idea and take it to the next level. And will help you acquire the knowledge and tools to build and launch a startup. You can meet with founders to learn from their experiences and gain insights on business challenges early on. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn about new startups, and exchange ideas and inspiration.

Flat6Labs Bahrain Demo Day
- When: September 16, 2019, 6 PM – 9 PM
- Where: The Ritz-Carlton
Get a chance to meet all the startups that have participated in Flat6Labs Bahrain’s Cycle 3. These eight startups have gone through the bootcamp, and the 4-month cycle program developing their business model, prototype, and more. As part of the last stage of the cycle, the startups will pitch to an audience of investors, mentors, startups, and you!
Fun fact, a few startups from Flat6Lab Bahrain’s previous cohorts have already secured followup funding.
Delivering a Digital Future
- When: September 18, 2019, 4 PM – 6 PM
- Where: Arcapita Building, Auditorium
How do you deliver a digital future? Innervate and Microsoft bring you a technical workshop on how to integrate advanced technologies within your business plan to delight your customers. You will get a chance to hear from businesses who are taking advantage of advanced technologies, and how they utilize them to enhance the user experience.
