How challenging is it for new emerging online retailers? They have to manage transactions, communicate with customers, figure out solutions for some logistical nightmares, and let us not get started with payments, ugh, the list could go on and on. This is why Rafat Zourgan came up with EshipSol—a Bahraini startup with a one-stop shop that provides all e-commerce startups with key solutions to their everyday problems.

The startup was also part Cloud10 Scalerator Program that’s run by C5 Accelerate in partnership with Tamkeen Bahrain, and powered by Amazon Web Services. The program aims to help new startups, like EshipSol to grow and scale up through cloud computing.

Rafat Zourgan, comes from a logistics background with more than 10 years of experience. He worked with DHL, and founded Ship2you.com a virtual mailbox provider from the US. Through his previous experiences in building a website, he found that it’s not an easy task since it’s time-consuming and inefficient. According to Rafat, it can be an obstacle that stops lots of entrepreneurs and tech-startups from achieving their dreams.

Aimed at homepreneurs, e-commerce startups, social media sellers, and SMEs amongst others, the startup offers a three in one solution where startups can have their own web store to showcase their products, offer them payment solutions (Visa, Mastercard, and cash on delivery), and logistical solutions for local and international shipping. “At the moment we are offering our webstore at freemium basis, where customers can register for free and list their products through their EshipSol dashboard,” Rafat told us. Once an online purchase is made, EshipSol collects the payment and arranges for the delivery.

Eshipsol’s team consist of Rafat Zourgan the Founder and CEO, Dawar Khan the Developer, Tahir Khorshid the Business Development Manager, Mashael Al Shehri the Marketing Executive, and Rose Lardizabal the Customer Care Support. When asked about their long-term goals, Rafat said that Eshipsol’s vision is to create stand-alone customizable websites, create additional sales channels through direct integration with regional and global marketplaces, and create a C2C and B2C front end marketplace as an additional sales channel.

Eshipsol also took part at the Seedstars GCC competition back in September 2017 and were among the top ten finalists. Through Seedstars, the startup received great exposure and had the opportunity of networking with potential customers, investors and the media. Additionally, they are now part of the Seedstars Global Network. “It was exciting to see the number of young entrepreneurs from Bahrain and the GCC with great ideas that have global potential,” Rafat commented.

The startup was also part Cloud10 Scalerator Program that’s run by C5 Accelerate in partnership with Tamkeen Bahrain, and powered by Amazon Web Services. The program aims to help new startups, like EshipSol to grow and scale up through cloud computing.

One last thing Rafat wants to share to aspiring entrepreneurs: “We are all socially conditioned to be wary of failure. As an entrepreneur, though hard to digest at the beginning, failure needs to be embraced. I am not saying you should be happy about it, but get comfortable with it and know that everyone fails in different ways and that it’s part of the process to reach success.”
