The world’s largest startup competition focused on women is making a comeback, and it promises to be bigger and better than all previous editions.

Dubbed She Loves Tech 2018, the competition will be conducted in 14 “One Belt One Road” locations across the world including China, Canada, France, Germany, Kenya, Pakistan, Indonesia, Singapore, South Africa, Philippines, Singapore, and the UAE.

The local rounds are being held from June to August, after which, winners of all local rounds will be flown to Beijing, China, for the grand finale, scheduled to take place at the International Conference on Sep 15, 2018.

One of the most promising She Loves Tech 2018 participants from the Middle East is Bahrain’s own Saba Saleem, a generation-next female entrepreneur who founded The Stories Studios, was chosen to compete in the local round held in UAE.

Speaking of her thoughts about participating in an event like She Loves Tech, Saba said, “As with my participation in any event, my intention is to learn new things, expand my network, and get inspired. She loves tech provided all that for me. And regardless of winning or losing, just being up on that stage in front of that amazing crowd and talking about the work that we are doing is a great opportunity.”

She added, ‘I made some great connections and potential partnerships too. I’m glad I flew down to Dubai to attend and got to see amazing women leading the way and doing amazing things in tech and beyond.”
