AIM Startup is gearing up to make a come back in 2019 for its third edition. The goal, as usual, is to serve as a mega-platform to link 500 startups with more than 200 investors from all over the world.

An initiative of the UAE Ministry of Economy, AIM Startup 2019 will be hosted in partnership with the National Program for SMEs and Projects. The three-day event will kick off on March 8, 2019, at the Dubai World Trade Center.

Just like during the previous two editions, the event’s most eagerly awaited feature is the Annual Pitch Competition where a select few startups will demonstrate their projects and compete against one another for a host of lucrative rewards.

The startup founders will also have a global platform to showcase their innovations to a global audience comprising investors, government officials, policymakers, and business leaders.

AIM Startup is currently busy gathering the most promising MENA-based startups for the event through a series of roadshows. Each roadshow spans two days and it includes a workshop and a pitch competition. 15 or more startups are expected to participate per location, of which five will be picked for the Annual Pitch Competition.

The top-5 startups from each location won’t have to pay any exhibition fee at AIM Startup 2019. The Kuwaiti, Jordanian, and Bahraini chapters of the roadshow are already over. Up next is Oman where the roadshow will continue on Jan 2-3, 2019, which is to be followed up by Lebanon on Jan 9-10, Riyadh on Jan 13-14, Jeddah on Jan 16-17, and Egypt on Jan 16-17.
