The Angel Rising Investor Education Symposium is coming back to NYU Abu Dhabi for its much-anticipated fourth edition on March 24, 2018. This year, the Symposium is expected to attract more than 200 community and industry leaders from Abu Dhabi and beyond who will explore new avenues for empowering angel investors.

Additionally, the Symposium will also address different ways angel investments can boost the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the UAE. The theme chosen this year is: Investing in MENA – Finding MENA’s Competitive Edge on the Global Stage.

Among the key attendants are renowned global experts such as Jake Zeller, Partner at AngelList; Ola Doudin, Co-Founder and Chief Executive at BitOasis; Lina Hediah, Executive Director at Consensys; Jonathan Nelson, Founder & Chief Executive at Hackers/Founders; and Promoth Manghat, Chief Executive at UAE Exchange, among others.

Among other burning topics, the panel will focus on issues affecting local and global investors such as “Investing in Venture & Crypto: Is One Replacing the Other?”, “Local Vision: How do Regional Investors See Deals Differently?”, and “Getting Liquid: Choosing Investments that will Exit.”

Apart from that, the symposium will also include an exclusive session with Fritz Lanman during which the Classpass CEO and angel investor will dig into the best strategies for investing in the different wings within the technology spectrum. The Lanman session will be followed by a roundup which will see UAE tech startups pitching their ideas and business plans to investors and audience members in attendance.
