The all-new Bahrain Polytechnic Lean Startup Program kicked off with a bang on Feb 14, 2019, amidst huge anticipation at the Brinc Batelco IoT Hub. The inauguration event saw experts from StartUp Bahrain, Tamkeen, Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), Brinc Batelco IoT, Flat6Labs Bahrain, and C5 Accelerate giving the participating students an overview of the Kingdom’s burgeoning startup ecosystem.

Additionally, the students were also briefed about what to expect from their programs moving forward.

The event saw students pitching their innovative ideas in an effort to be a part of Tamkeen’s forthcoming Entrepreneurship Training Program. All in all, it was a good learning experience for the participants given that the event went to great lengths to outline how important the art of pitching is for any up-and-coming entrepreneur.

At the end of the event, three students successfully claimed their places at the Lean StartUp program offered by the School of ICT. To be held at a partner incubator, the new program will focus on teaching students the fine art of developing, nurturing, and commercializing a business idea.
