Bank ABC has announced the schedule for the fourth edition of the annual MEA FinTech Forum. The event, to be held under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), will take place on Nov 24-25.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the event will be hosted fully virtually via a state-of-the-art platform. The main agenda will be to discuss some of the most relevant factors influencing the financial services sector in the region today.

There will be multiple sessions of engaging discussions on various burning issues such as post-pandemic economic recovery, low-touch economy, the future of the banking sector, cashless payments, and sustainability.

“The Central Bank of Bahrain is committed to creating a market environment conducive for innovation, collaboration, and sustained economic growth, Rasheed Al Maraj, CBB Governor said.

“We are pleased to continue our support to Bank ABC’s initiative of the MEA Fintech Forum, which has significantly advanced Bahrain’s FinTech agenda and encouraged the business and financial services community to look at their operations differently.”

Specifically, on the issue of COVID-19’s impact on the economy, the Forum will brainstorm over the best practices that could help the regional economy as it switches gears from “respond” to “recover.”

The discussions will also brush upon Bank ABC’s commitment to the economic prosperity of Bahrain and the broader region, as well as its support to the Kingdom’s ambition of emerging a regional FinTech hub.
