Online coffee marketplace COFE App has announced a new international deal with Talabat, one of the subsidiaries in the Delivery Hero group of companies.
The two companies will be locked in a strategic partnership involving technology and logistics that will pave the way for COFE App’s faster growth across the MENA region.
The first leg of the newly forged alliance will kick off in Kuwait before expanding to Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Somewhere down the line, COFE App will also target the European market starting with Turkey. Delivery Hero’s affiliated companies across the continent will be useful while implementing that part of the roadmap, COFE App said in brief to the media earlier this week.
The announcement came following a sharp 180% jump in on-demand orders on COFE App in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Speaking on the occasion, COFE App Founder and CEO Ali Al Ebrahim said, “We’re constantly trying to partner with companies that will help us serve our customers better, and when it comes to logistics and delivery, there could be none better than Talabat”.
He added: “During the current economic slowdown that companies are facing due to the health & safety concerns due to COVID-19, we’re working harder than ever before to collaborate with industry leaders to ensure that we have more to offer our customers, and are taking this opportunity to innovate and adapt our offerings and services.”
