FinTech startups and entrepreneurs in Bahrain and the rest of the Middle East will soon have an awesome opportunity to showcase their innovations in front of a global audience and grab on to lucrative opportunities for furthering their business objectives. The “ePay Summit,” an event held under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) and dedicated to e-payments and online banking solutions, is currently accepting applications from willing participants.
The event will include a demo session where the participating companies will have five minutes each to demonstrate their FinTech innovations. “Unlike some events, we do not charge for companies to present at the Demo Session. Representatives from such companies are required, however, to have registered as delegates and pay the same participant fee as other delegates,” reads the official event page.
The eligibility criteria are pretty simple. The applicant must be a small to the medium-sized enterprise that aims to deliver innovative financial services solutions. These may include wealth management, e-payments, lending, APIs, risk analysis, fraud detection, securities, trading, or IT infrastructure, or other financial services.
Additionally, the startups applying for the competition should have a launch date of no earlier than Jan 1, 2016. The last date of submission for the online application form is Jan 1, 2019.
The ePay Summit 2019 will be held on March 11 – 12, 2019 in Bahrain. The annual event consists of several high-impact activities including conferences, exhibitions, innovative demos, and more.
