FinTech Consortium has just shared awesome news for all of you working in the financial services and technology sectors. In a first-of-its-kind collaboration in the region, the FinTech incubator and ecosystem builder has joined forces with Georgetown University’s Professional Development division to roll out a new online interactive course.

The newly introduced program is available for all GCC nationals provided they have at least two years of experience in the financial services and/or FinTech sectors.

The program will primarily focus on entrepreneurship, strategy, and innovation across a diverse range of verticals including, but not limited to, blockchain applications, Islamic FinTech, digital banking, regulatory technology, and insurance technology.

FinTech Consortium stated in a press release that admissions to the program will take place twice a year with the first cohort taking off on Apr 14. Anyone who wishes to be a part of the inaugural cohort can submit their application online on or before March 31.

“The financial services industry is undergoing a fundamental transformation. New technology enables us to offer services, products and interact with consumers as we could never do before. This 12 weeks Certificate Program brings together world-class expertise in business education and the cutting edge of FinTech in business creation,” said James Angel, Associate Professor of Finance in the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.

To be covered in seven modules, the program will span three months and include an array of activities including interactive live programs, case studies, and lectures by visiting professors from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business in Washington DC.
