Etihad Etisalat (Mobily), the mobile telephone and internet service provider based in Saudi Arabia, has announced a new partnership with Sweden-based multinational networking and telecom giant Ericsson. Under this new partnership, both companies will prepare an IoT world program.

The program, which happens to be the first-of-its-kind in Saudi, aims to provide a competent platform for university students and staffs to develop IoT locally and globally.

The new initiative reflects Mobily’s commitment to developing and keeping up with latest technologies from across the world.

Both companies inked the IoT world partnership agreement at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona, Spain in the presence of Eng. Ahmed Aboudoma, Mobily CEO, and Rafia Ibrahim, Ericsson chief in the MENA region.

Among other perks, the partnership agreement is also expected to boost any and all platforms available for young and innovative Saudis to exhibit their creativity in the field of IoT.
