The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has deployed special measures to improve services and alleviate customers’ woes in the wake of the menacing COVID-19 pandemic. In an announcement earlier last week, the bank promised that it will take all necessary actions to ensure the safety of its clients, as well as the NBB workforce.

To that effect, NBB Relationship Managers have been proactively engaging all commercial and retail clients to better understand the issues they’re currently facing.

The NBB has also clarified that it will comply with the Central Bank of Bahrain’s recommendation to defer the installments of consumer loans for all affected clients. You can reach out to the NBB helpdesk for further information by dialing 17214433.

The announcement read: “Our crisis committees are working hand in hand with the business units to closely monitor the situation, and take the necessary pre-emptive and corrective measures to ensure that our daily operations run smoothly and that our customers continue to receive optimum service and support for their financial requirements during this critical time”.

It then added that the NBB is abiding by all the directives put in place by government agencies including necessary health measures to help prevent the COVID-19 virus from spreading any further in the Kingdom.
