Good news for online shoppers in the Middle East as the region’s homegrown digital marketplace, Noon has inked a deal with global e-commerce giant eBay. Per this deal, shoppers in the Middle East will now be able to order top-selling products from the US or anywhere else in the world through Noon.

Powered by eBay, this new service will be available starting the second half of 2012 in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. However, it is expected to soon extend to other major markets as well, including Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, and so on.

For enhanced customer satisfaction, the two companies have agreed to enable customers to return their overseas orders to Noon with a 100% refund option. Of course, all exchanges or returns will be subject to terms and conditions.

“Noon is connecting the region with the global e-commerce market through our partnership with eBay. With this, we are offering our customers access to products that are not otherwise readily available in the region. Our partnership with eBay opens a whole new world of shopping experience,” said Mohamed Alabbar, Founder of Noon.

Meanwhile, Noon and eBay have also vowed to open a united front to explore mutually beneficial opportunities in know-how, marketing, and best practices to leverage the rapidly growing e-commerce sector in the region.
