As the countdown begins for GITEX Technology Week’s grand comeback later this year in Oct, Tamkeen and Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) has once again joined forces to help Bahraini ICT companies shine in the mega event.

This will be the 13th year of the Bahrain Pavilion as GITEX 2019 goes live at the Dubai World Trade Center from 6th to 10th October. As always, the event will include business leaders, ICT enterprises, government officials, and investors from more than 140 countries across the world.

Per the Tamkeen-BTECH agreement, both entities will combine their resources to support 20 startups and 40 ICT companies from the Kingdom to participate in the GITEX 2019. The partnership is expected to make it easier for the participating companies to pitch their products and services to a much wider audience, which in turn will help them gain global recognition.

Highlighting the significance of the annual event for emerging ICT companies in the broader region, Tamkeen’s Chief Executive Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi said: “This event offers participants a promising opportunity for exposure and networking.”

He added: “Supporting Bahraini exhibitors through the Bahrain Pavilion at GITEX aims to increase the contribution of technology companies in the private sector, enhance their competitiveness, develop their business and bring their products and services to the regional and global markets, as well as encourage Bahraini ICT entrepreneurs to develop their ideas and projects.”

Meanwhile, Ubaidly Ubaidly, Chairman of BTECH, noted that the partnership with Tamkeen will play a pivotal role by offering a level playing field to Bahraini ICT companies as they push for global expansion.
