Tamkeen has launched a new financial support scheme to further empower Bahrain-based businesses by enhancing their security and operational efficiency. The project encompasses many benefits including the total expenses of cloud computing services from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Available for promising small and medium enterprises (SMEs), startups, and independent entrepreneurs, this scheme covers 100% of AWS services costs for the first 18 months. Additionally, it offers access to more than 125 AWS exclusive services for no extra charge.

Underlining the impact of the scheme on the future growth of the Kingdom’s startup and SME ecosystems, Tamkeen Chief Executive Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, said: “Meeting the changing and growing needs of the market, in light of the modern economy and technology, is crucial to enhancing businesses competitiveness in the local and international markets.”

“Cloud Computing is one of the prominent modern business technologies known for its cost-effective solutions in managing business data, IT infrastructure and operations to enable businesses (to) enhance their productivity from a wide range of service options,” he added. According to the Tamkeen chief, the scheme has the potential to propel the growth of beneficiaries by allowing them to focus on the core business and lowering everyday expenses.
