The doors to Tamkeen’s flagship Business Support Program are once again open for businesses keen on hitting the next level of growth.

After a hiatus of one year, the program is now back bigger and better than the first edition, claims Tamkeen, the labor fund that has been relentlessly working to turn the Kingdom one of the most business-friendly countries in the world (and has a lot of success to show for).

Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, has confirmed the re-opening of the program and stated that it now brings along a slew of added features. The enhanced platform, he says, is now more capable of addressing the varying characteristics and needs of different types of enterprises undergoing different stages of growth.

The Tamkeen unit to oversee the program itself went under extensive restructuring to ensure that the optimal level of support can be pushed to the participating enterprises.

“The end goal of the plan is to amplify the impact of Tamkeen’s support on the development of enterprises on one hand and boost their contribution to the national economy on the other. As part of that, we will be similarly re-launching the Training and Wage Support program over several phases later this month,” Dr. Janahi added.

Under the revamped structure, there will be multiple innovative support tracks. Enterprises can virtually register to benefit from these support tracks. On top of that, there is another track called “5K support” which, as the moniker suggests, provides grants up to BD 5,000 to eligible businesses in the following support areas:

  • ICT
  • Machinery and equipment
  • Quality management
  • Cloud computing
  • Consulting
  • Marketing
  • Branding
  • Accounting and auditing

In addition to all of these improvements and more, the online infrastructure dedicated to the program has also undergone extensive improvements.
