One of the leading telecom service providers in Bahrain, VIVA, declared that it achieved a regional breakthrough by installing the region’s first nine-beam antenna technology during this year’s F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.

A statement from the company announced, VIVA delivered almost nine times the capacity to absorb traffic demand in comparison to a regular mobile tower. Due to this, VIVA customers were able to enjoy high-quality voice and data telecom services during the race.

This action comes as the first stage of strategic investment of VIVA to provide seamless services with the growing demand for data while aiming at delivering efficient and environmentally friendly alternatives.

Ulaiyan Al Wetaid, CEO of VIVA Bahrain stated that a 50% boost in mobile traffic demands were identified at the circuit this year. This highlights the significance of the company’s decision to focus its investments on the latest innovation to serve their customers in the best way.

“We are very proud of the results this technology has achieved and will be exploring more ways to utilize it in the future for the betterment of Bahrain,” he added.
