Tech logistics firm Armada Delivery Solutions has just closed a pre-Series A funding round with Kuwait-based VC firm Sharq Ventures.

Based in Kuwait City, Armada was founded with the vision of solving the last mile delivery problem in Kuwait and other parts of the Arab world. The company focuses on raising an online logistics platform that connects merchants to an aggregated courier base comprising professional and freelance couriers on-demand.

Since it closed the seed round led by Arzan VC in January 2017, Armada has displayed a consistent month-on-month growth rate of around 65% in terms of the number of deliveries completed per day.

Armada pitches itself as the perfect solution for merchants that want to mitigate the hassles of logistics. It offers them a one-stop shop for all kinds of delivery requirements including distribution, aggregation, and last mile delivery.

“With Armada’s platform, delivery couriers become more organized; thus increasing the efficiency for both sides of any transaction. Sharq Ventures believes in the direction that this startup is heading towards and more importantly believes that the founder and his team are able to uplift this venture,” said Homoud Al-Sabah, Managing Partner at Sharq Ventures.

The company says that by using their services, business owners can focus on the core issues concerning the growth of their business. To facilitate an even faster and more efficient delivery network, Armada is planning on adding new vehicle tiers to its platform. In addition to that, there will also be a new consumer app, as well as a beta launch in West Amman and Riyadh.
