Bahraini startup Akalati, won third place in the 100 Startups finale, by Badir program for Technology Incubators in cooperation with Saudi Aramco Entrepreneurship Center(Wa’ed), the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), Bahrain Development Bank, StartUp Bahrain and CH9.

If you didn’t know, Badir (meaning ‘to initiate’) is a Technology Incubator Program launched by King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) in 2007, that aims at accelerating the growth of emerging technology-based startups in Saudi Arabia.

The three winners of the 100 Startups program are; Workhint; a platform that connects businesses with independent management consultants online, Mifftah; a property finder platform, and Akalati; an app that lets you order food, meal plans, cakes as well offer you a variety of food caterers in Bahrain.

Abdulla Al-Radhi, Founder of Akalati, said, “It was fun! Winning 3rd place was great, and the networking opportunities were even better. I believe that increasing your connections will help in attaining new clients, gaining more knowledge and learn from the successes of others.”.
