The Demo Day for Brinc MENA’s 5th cohort of startups will take place on Aug 26, 2020, virtually over here. As you may know, four Bahraini IoT and connected hardware startups were shortlisted for the program from a pool of more than 200 startups from all over the world.

These are Xeleqt, Symphony, Iris, and Frij. Together, these startups cover a wide range of industries including AgriTech, Logistics & Supply Chain tech, Predictive Maintenance, as well as Health & Wellness.

Xeleqt, for example, is the first-of-its-kind IoT platform that enables businesses to dynamically match, manage, and mobilize their inventories with customer demands. Iris offers a smartbee device that comes loaded with state-of-the-art sensors built specifically to meet the operational needs of beekeepers.

Symphoni, meanwhile, offers a plug and play industry 4.0 platform that wirelessly monitors the vibrations from any machinery with moving equipment. The data is then sent to the cloud for diagnosis and the detection of the machine’s health and remaining useful life.

Frij offers a smart refrigerator that can be placed at virtually every workspace to help meet the employees’ nutritional requirements at affordable costs.

The Brinc accelerator program is held in collaboration with Tamkeen, StartUpBahrain, the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), and Batelco. The program is designed specifically to lay the foundation of a fast-growing startup ecosystem in Bahrain, as well as the broader region.
