Swvl, a Dubai-headquartered, Cairo-born mass transportation startup announced its Jordan expansion; offering its platform for businesses.

With the Jordan launch, Amman is among the list of cities on the startup’s app, however, no routes are available for it yet; perhaps indicating that the startup could potentially kickstart its consumer services in the area soon.

Kareem Zinaty, an ex-Careem executive, is currently leading the startup in Jordan. The launch marks the fourth market for the startup, other than Kenya, Pakistan, and its Dubai headquarters.

The Swvl Business platform provides employee transportation solutions for businesses, and has been used by clients such as Samsung, PepsiCo, Axa, and PwC, according to its website.

With Swvl, employers can create custom routes, stations, and schedules to aid their employees with transportation.
