It’s the perfect opportunity for the American University of Bahrain (AUBH) students to get a headstart in a promising career in cloud computing. To help them get some hands-on experience with the fast-evolving technology, AUBH has joined forces with the largest cloud services provider in the world, Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The main objective of this collaboration is to help students acquire the skills and credentials required to succeed in the cloud IT sector. More specifically, the course prepared by the AUBH-AWS Academy collaboration will help these students prepare for globally-recognized AWS certification exams.

Commenting on the new initiative, Sameera Alatawi, Director of Information Technology, AUBH, noted: “Cloud computing has become the new normal for organizations around the world, and the technical skills that students develop through AWS Academy will soon be essential for the work-ready graduate. We are proud to make such international courses available to students, staff, and faculty.”

For the uninitiated, the AWS Academy programs and curriculum are developed and administered by AWS subject matter experts, which means these courses are in sync with the rapidly changing cloud industry.
