The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CTM360, a pioneering Cybersecurity entity in Bahrain, that provides Board and Executive members cybersecurity Training. The MoU was signed by Dr. Ahmed Abdul Hameed Al Shaikh, Director of the BIBF, and Mr. Mirza Asrar Baig, CEO & Founder of CTM360.

Under the MoU, both parties agreed to unite in order to provide Cybersecurity awareness sessions for Board Members and Senior Management Teams.

The sessions were carried out to increase awareness of the Board Members and make sure that they have the key tools and connections that will aid them in improving their Cybersecurity-related business decisions.

Also, the training covers important topics and critical angles of Cybersecurity that are important to Board Members and Senior Management Teams.

“At the BIBF, we realize how important it is to stay up-to-date on the critical topics of Cybersecurity. Cybersecurity is no longer the IT department’s problem; it starts at the top and is everyone’s business. Our cybersecurity training will help Board Members build the foundation to maintain a vigilant Cybersecurity compliance programme and stay competitive in the industry.”, said Dr. Ahmed Abdul Hameed Al Shaikh, BIBF’s Director.

According to the CEO & Founder of CTM360, Mr. Mirza Asrar Baig stated, “We are pleased to be part of the BIBF’s efforts in addressing significant cyber issues facing organizations today and what it means for directors’ oversight responsibilities. As part of its corporate social responsibility, the BIBF carries out free-of-charge training workshops and seminars open to the everyone on a number of trending economic topics.
