The Bahrain Business & Professional Women International Federation (BPW Bahrain) is hosting the second edition of the International Business and Professional Women Forum in Bahrain.

The event kicked off in grand style on May 5, 2018, at the Bahrain Fort Museum Site and it will span over four days before wrapping up on May 8.

This forum has brought together several national and international experts with panel discussions taking place on the next day at the Bahrain National Museum. The discussions will focus on Bahrain’s position as a favoured ‘FinTech destination’, ‘Future of Startups’ and ‘Women in Leadership’. The event will also mark visits to economic landmarks like the Bahrain Financial Harbour and Tamkeen.

Commenting on the forum, President of BPW Bahrain, H.E. Shaikha Hind bint Salman Al Khalifa expressed her pleasure in hosting the 2nd International Business & Professional Women Forum after the success of 2015. She also praised the achievements of Arab women in positions of leadership.

She further added, “The forum also celebrates the women who presided the International Federation since its inception 120 years ago. And here, I would like to refer with pride to Dr Amani Asfoor from Egypt, who is the first Arab President of the International Federation. The current president Dr Amani will be honoured at the opening ceremony, in recognition of her outstanding role and the significant progress made by Arab women in the World Federation.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will support this event along with the strategic partner, Tamkeen. Economic Development Board (EDB) and VIVA, Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, Bahrain Authority for Tourism and Exhibitions will sponsor the event.
