Justmop, the UAE-based house-cleaning booking marketplace has raised an undisclosed amount in Series A of funding led by VentureFriends, along with OAK Capital and 500 Startups. According to internal sources familiar with the matter, the newly-injected capital was a few million dollars.

The self-funded startup, established in 2015 by former Rocket International team members, would use the funding to improve its booking app and expand its services portfolio. In addition to that, the company is also planning to expand its activities across the GCC region, including Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait by the end of 2018.

Justmop offers a wide variety of services including furniture cleaning, offices and school cleaning, housekeeping, marble polishing, and more. Furthermore, it also features an artificial intelligence software to keep track of the customers’ feedback and reviews. The startup owner’s conduct interviews with the housekeeper applicants in person to ensure the high quality of the service. They also provide them with specialized training.

For its corporate clients, Justmop also offers general stats and an overview of the daily operations in real-time. In addition to that, the customers can also schedule appointments and do the accounting via the app.

Ali Cagatay Ozcan, one of the co-founders, commented that the successful collaboration with VentureFriends helped the startup focus on the core business and the expansion, instead of the paperwork.
